Sodexo provides London school with fruit and veg gardens

Sodexo has delivered two of three fruit and vegetable gardens to a London primary school, as part of a wider scheme to get children to learn more about the food they eat. Montem Primary School in Hornsey Road, Islington, received the gardens as part of Sodexo’s STOP Hunger campaign.

Talkington Bates wins contract extension at Epson UK head office

Talkington Bates has retained the contract to provide contract catering services at Epson (UK)’s headquarters in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. The 12-month contract extension continues a 12-year relationship between the two companies.

Enterprise reduces debts as profits fall

Gary Neville to develop hotel at Old Trafford

Former Manchester United football star Gary Neville had been given the green light to build a £20m hotel close to Old Trafford, despite objections from his former club. Trafford Council has granted planning permission for the three- to four-star, 139-bedroom hotel, which will incorporate the Old Trafford Supporters Club.

Albert Roux’s Young Highland Chef of the Year competition is now open for entries, offering the winner a week’s work experience at his son Michel Roux Jnr’s two-Michelin-starred restaurant, Le Gavroche in London. Chefs from the Scottish Highlands and Islands are being invited to submit a three-course dinner menu.
